Overview
At dawn, a forest boat glides out onto Periyar Lake as the mist still clings to the surface. On the surrounding banks, elephants come to drink, bison graze in the clearings and otters play in the shallows — all undisturbed by your quiet presence on the water.
Your guide is a trained naturalist with deep knowledge of Periyar Tiger Reserve's ecosystem. After the boat ride, an optional bamboo-raft jungle walk brings you even closer to the forest floor and its smaller wonders.
All excursions are run in strict compliance with wildlife protection guidelines. Group sizes are kept to a maximum of eight guests for an intimate experience.
